What Are the IP Ratings of Macromatic Products?

Intrinsically Safe Barrier Relays

Ingress protection (IP) rating is a system developed by the IEC to uniformly grade the resistance of an enclosure against the intrusion of dust or liquids. The IP rating is also used to gauge touch safety, the level of access an operator has to the potentially hazardous parts within the enclosure. The IP rating consists of two numbers, the first is the level of protection against ingress of solids. It is on a scale of 0-6, 0 being no protection and 6 being the most protective. The second number represents the degree of protection against liquids. It is on a scale of 0 to 9, 0 being no protection and 9 being the most protective. The table below shows the IP ratings of Macromatic products, separated by product series.
